ARJ Design, LLC Pacific Heights Office

One of my favorite stylists Benny Aguilar, swung through last year to add his amazing touches to the ARJ Design's office interior during a photo shoot with the lovely John Bidel (www.johnbedellphotography.com). Since my company's focus is interior design, comfort and "liveable" space is most important to how the office was selected and decorated.  Often we all gather around the living room fireplace to discuss projects and what the next great idea might be.

Last fall I was called to update a dreary chemotherapy room for a new charity Rooms That Rock 4 Chemo.  Since I had lost my step mother to cancer, and just finished a large private medical office, this seemed like a manageable task.  The board came together and the main surface of wallpaper was selected.

Since the wallpaper was being imported from the UK, the safety ratings were too complex for the hospitals administrative team and was not approved, enter.....

Apartment Therapy

The disco ball in this Gramercy Park apartment sparked ideas/reminders of the many places a disco ball can create a little flare and joy at home. In the bathroom, office, living room or kitchen (we couldn't find an image of a disco bedroom, but maybe that's a good thing), this accessory is not only for a 70s-inspired home:

Dallas Interior

"I needed a designer who was able to do something extraordinary.  My first instinct was to hire someone local.  I interviewed a few people but was not impressed with the local talent.  Prior to living in Japan, NYC and Dallas, I had lived in San Francisco for 5 years.  One of my best friends, Shawn O, had spoken highly of a very talented interior designer who lived in the SF bay area and her name was Ashley Roi Jenkins. There were many reviews that backed-up Shawn O's proclamation which were Decorator Showcase, SF Chronicle and California Home & Design etc.. etc..  During one of my frequent visits, I had interviewed a few bay area designers including ARJD.  She struck me as a designer who could do whatever design the client desired.  I jumped in after doing my homework and decided she was my gal!  She flew into Dallas with her assistant and looked at my very eclectic furniture and came up with 3 design concepts.   I really wanted a space that was soft contemporary Asian eclectic which I thought would be very challenging due to the fact that I didn't want to let go of some of my prized possessions that I had collected over my years of travel.   This was quite a challenge in my eyes but to ARJ she executed my vision and her design concept beautifully and created exactly what I wanted.  Ashley Roi listened to my ideas and created the most amazing space which included my needs, wants and desires. She did this through color, accessories and added some extra pieces that transformed my townhome into a space that looked like a million bucks.  I trusted her completely and she performed.  I couldn't have asked for a better designer.  WOW!! Thanks to ARJ and her team.  Now I have many client dinners at my space in Uptown Dallas and because of her ( I believe) have increased my business exponentially.  Since then, I have referred to many more happy clients in the DFW area.  Thank you! Thank you! AND Thank YOU!!" Katie Aspen

New Apartment

"We worked with Ashley for six months in 2010 when we were furnishing our new apartment.  Our experience with her was fantastic - she gave us lots of creative ideas but always paid careful attention to our style and preferences.  We wanted a mix of timeless, classic pieces with a few more interesting items spread throughout our home - and her ideas fit the bill every time.  She was always available and worked tirelessly to pull together her recommendations in record time.  We were very happy with the experience and would highly recommend her." John and Kate Gilligan

Pilates Studio

"Almost three years ago, I opened my Pilates Studio in my home with the help of Ashley Roi Jenkins Design.  Ashley provided the confidence and the talent to tackle this unique project, which had to combine seamless design and contemporary surroundings in a challenging space.  While I had wanted to "play it safe", Ashley found that by adding charming wall treatments and the perfect lighting solutions, we could repurpose a room into a fabulous and welcoming work space.  She held my hand as I took this leap into the unknown.  I've never looked back.  She is a great hand holder and a professional, talented, and most ingenious designer.  I am ever grateful.  And, so are my happy clients." Naomi Rayman, owner of Another Planet Pilates.

Home Design

"I hired Ashley Roi Jenkins Design to design and furnish two of my homes and she also managed a project to build a deck that not only turned out beautifully but added significantly to the value of that home.  Ashley not only decorated and renovated multiple spaces for me, but also created custom items at great prices.  Her design work on my first home was so well done that it was featured in a design magazine, which certainly made me proud. Ashley not only creates beautiful spaces and designs stunning pieces (I get compliments on the bar she designed all the time), but she also manages each project to keep the crafts men “on-time” and within budget. Ashley certainly has a gift for design, is easy to work with, and works hard. I specifically like that she worked with my own personal tastes to create a beautiful living environment that I feel comfortable in rather than forcing her tastes on me. I believe that Ashley understands that her role is to enhance her clients personal style rather than change it.  I would highly recommend Ashley’s design firm for any job." Robert Stoll, owner of Dr. Bob Sports

Kitchen Renovation

"Ashley oversaw the renovation of the kitchen and bath in our Victorian home.  She did a wonderful job of modernizing the space while, at the same time, creating a unifying design throughout the house.  Ashley also helped us redecorate the rest of our home.  She incorporated some pieces that we already owned with new designs, thus providing a fresh new look.  Ashley was able to make each room flow together seamlessly due to her great sense of color and design.  Our home truly reflects our style and we love what Ashley accomplished.  It was a delight to work with her."
